HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Under the direction of the Wellness Director, the Wellness Center staff should carry out the overall purpose, goals, and objectives of the Y. The incumbent must be a team player, working with volunteers and other staff to help further the YMCA’s mission, values, and goals. The incumbent must agree with and practice the YMCA’s values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, integrity, creativity, and community.
- Responsible for daily cleaning tasks as assigned and helping to ensure the club stays clean.
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of fitness equipment.
- Provide general customer service when needed.
- Be encouraging and motivating to all.
- Report any damaged/malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
- Provides supervision when needed to maintain safety and enforce the SIYMCA policies and guidelines as needed.
- Provide Cause-Driven Tours when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of, and or ability to learn exercises on weight and cardio equipment.
- Certifications: CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
- At least 16 years of age, no prior experience or education is necessary.
