Welding Team Lead

We are looking for a highly capable and highly knowledgeable Team Leader to lead our welding department.

As one of our Team Leaders, you will be a part of our core operations team ensuring that we provide our customers with quality products and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising employees working in the welding department applying welding knowledge to train team members and to ensure that our high-quality production standards are met.

Essential job Functions

• Oversee staffing/workflow of our Welding Team.
• Manage operations to ensure quality product is produced in a timely manner.
• Participate in safety program and strictly enforce all safety rules.
• Train welders/monitor and track progression of skill improvements.
• Champion positive company culture and lead by example to instill Dane Manufacturing's core values throughout the team.
• Practice active problem solving.
• Follow employee discipline guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience: 5+ years of welding and supervisory experience. Knowledge with MIG and TIG operations required. Experience with welding robots a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

a. Must place a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.

b. Able to read and understand work orders and blueprints.

c. Able to identify problems during the manufacturing process and make necessary adjustments to correct.

d. Must be able to follow detailed manufacturing instructions.

e. Ability to work with hand tools.

f. Able to use and understand basic measuring tools, i.e. tape measure, caliper.

g. Able to work in a team environment.

h. Able to effectively provide and accept feedback from colleagues based on work reviews.

i. Flexibility to work overtime to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing process.

• Essential Physical/Mental Requirements

a. Work requires occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.

b. Work is performed in an environment with noise.

c. Need to occasionally move and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.

d. Must have good time management skills.

e. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.

f. Must have the ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy while working in an environment with interruptions and occasional noise.
