Form of workINfab has an opportunity for an experienced Welding Supervisor to manage production on 1st shift (7am-3:30pm) at our automated pipe fabrication facility in Greenville, SC. The Welding Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all welding processes are being executed properly, and that the welds on the finished product are in compliance with the customer’s specifications. The essential functions of this position are as follows:
- Devising a safe and effective daily plan to meet production goals set by management
- Determining what WPS’s and PQR’s are required per project
- Oversight of welding processes including GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW, STT
- Overseeing all Hand and Automation training and auditing
- Minor maintenance work on welding machines
- Working with the Quality Control department to resolve any Quality issues
- Managing workflow of product for the welders to meet their goals
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed
- Facilitating Gang Box Meetings and attending daily production (POD) meetings
Applicants must be able to pass a welding test, as well as read and understand isometric and orthographic piping drawings. Experience with Radiographic testing and Automatic Welding preferred.
