Welding HS Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is an entry-level Internship with the welding shop and will be under the guidance of an experienced Shop Supervisor. The intern’s primary purpose is to learn and develop as a welder and receive on-the-job training (OJT) as follows:

1. Attend required company-instructed classroom courses
2. Maintain safety training and procedures
3. Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Service Leadership

On-the-job training curriculum may include:

• Quality inspect for all welds
• Help spot weld, repair, and replace mechanical parts
• Interpreting blueprints
• Examine and test equipment to ensure the proper functioning
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect parts, using hand or power tools
• Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must be a current student enrolled in a Skilled welding program.
