Weldship provides compressed gas tube trailers, CO2 transports and gas and chemical tankers, compressed natural gas (CNG) trailers, ISO containers (Multiple
Element Gas Containers), and high-pressure, industrial gas ground storage tube assemblies to industrial gas markets around the world. Weldship is ISO 9001 certified.
We are looking for an experienced Welder/Valve Technician to join our TEAM!
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for fitting and welding of aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a MIG and TIG process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
MIG and TIG weld aluminum and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standard.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified from a two-year college or technical school preferred• One-year related experience and/or training a must
Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel required
Experience with MIG and TIG welding required
Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required
Ability to identify and measure material
Ability to produce quality products consistently
Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
Weld test will be given at interview (Personal Protective Equipment will be provided if needed).
Learn & train valving of manifolds for pressure testing
Face and clean tube face and threads
Ability to work with high pressure valves and piping
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED.
