Job Details:

• First shift, Monday - Thursday
• Friday is overtime 6:00 am - 2:30pm
• 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing machinery to weld metal
• Preheat workpieces before welding
• Fill holes, indentations, or seams
• Inspect products for quality and conformance to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, etc.
• Measure and calculate dimensions
• Ignite torches or start power supplies
• Hammer out bulges
• Oversee the welding process to prevent overheating and adjust settings
• Maintain the safety and functionality of equipment and machinery
• Train new hires
• Comply with health and safety regulations and always wear protective gear
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Position Requirements:

Class B – All of the above and:

• Ability to pass 3G & 4G weld test to obtain certification
• Basic Knowledge and Interpretation of Blueprints/Drawings
• Ability to cope, shape, cut structural material as required

Class A – All of the above and:

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Blueprints/Drawings
• Ability to fully build/fabricate from provided Blueprints
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to fill in and help with design discussions to resolve possible issues
• Proven ability to lead a crew
• Proven ability to train Class C and Class B welders
