JOB SUMMARY:
Assemble and weld turn table winches and brake chains producing a quality product within the customer's specifications.

Assemble and weld turn table winches and brake chains producing a quality product within the customer's specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Create welds and assemblies with the use of blueprints and other visual aids
- Assemble and MIG weld turn table winches per shop orders, work instructions, and drawings
- Assemble and weld brake chains with TIG or Heat Induction welding according to shop orders, work instructions, and drawings.
- Pull parts from inventory accordingly.
- Inspect and assemble parts per drawing and work instructions.
- Place finished products in correct inventory locations.
- Operate fork trucks and stand up fork lifts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop.
- Perform job duties following proper safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to use foot controls to operate equipment
- Ability to bend and twist at waist.
- Use hands to assemble parts and use hand tools, grinders, inspection gauges and calipers
- Vision sufficient to assemble parts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots, face shield etc.) as needed
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Shop environment including assembly, welding, overhead cranes and fork trucks.
- Work in all weather conditions
- Dusty, smoky, damp, dark and welding fumes
- Noisy manufacturing environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding Certification (Mig and Tig)
- Reading sufficient to be able to use and create required instructions and paperwork
- Certification to operate fork lift and standup fork lift
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written, with team members and management.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to accurately count parts for inventory purposes
- Travel by ground, rail and air
