What you’ll do:
Perform a wide variety of duties to weld and fabricate, assemble and test various fluid-power cylinder tubes & rods, while working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting, fitting, and welding, following established methods and practices.
- Work from hydraulic and electrical schematics, drawings, diagrams, photographs, bills of material.
- Use various hand and power tools and equipment such as band saws, drill press, pipe benders and threaders, gas, arc and mig welders -TIG, plasma cutting torch, etc.
- Work with jib cranes. Position various fittings, pumps, motors, valves, other components.
- Cut and/or drill holes in pre-fabricated tanks and covers.
- Weld couplings in place; design, fabricate and weld mounting brackets in place.
- Operate forklift to move completed units to test area.
- Detect and report equipment malfunctions, unusual situations or other problems to the supervisor. Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year proven welding and/or fabrication experience
- Knowledge of schematics, preferred
- Basic math knowledge, problem solving
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills, including English grammar
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
