SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Custom Product Assembler to join our team. The essence of the role of the Custom Assembler is to assemble any parts that are too complex to be assembled in the field. High-performing, creative, and flexible team member who is willing to work with less structure and is willing to change the schedule as needed to execute to the requirements of the business and utilize available equipment resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weld various structural and ornamental metal structures. Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum.
- Able to TIG/MIG weld.
- Plasma cut and bend tubing/piping to specs.
- Interpret drawings and blue prints. Complex assembly of angles and cuts.
- Verify parts to their assembly instructions.
- Identify the defective part for rework.
- Package parts to ship without damage.
- Check the correct quantities of all work orders.
- Will correctly key and label parts.
- Take part in monthly presentations and continuous improvement efforts.
- Assemble mechanical components and sub assemblies according to blueprints and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
- Operate forklift to move materials and finished products within the warehouse.
- Solder components as needed.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in Welding Steel or Aluminum preferred but not required.
- At least 3 years experience in welding structural or ornamental metal structures.
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with machining equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Knowledge and use of Pneumatic Tools-Air Tools-Drills, impact wrenches, nail guns-plus others.
- Knowledge and use of Power Tools- Grinder, Sawzal, drill/driver, table saw-plus others.
- Mechanical work on various industry parts.
- Assembler-of parts and coils.
- Basic mathematical and measuring skills.
- Ability to follow directions and complete various task when given.
- Welding, brazing and blue print knowledge is a plus- but not a must.
Individuals must have extensive experience in metal fabrication.
A background in general construction and carpentry or fixture less manufacturing and fabrication is highly recommended.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
