SalaryBoiler Repair Technician Apprentice - Job Description
● Utilize your mechanical abilities to assist i n troubleshooting and performing repairs
along with preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial boilers/burners
and boiler plant equipment in the Tri State Philadelphia area ( PA, NJ, MD and DE)
● Assist in repair of boilers or tanks in the field b y unbolting or flame cutting defective sections o r tubes, installing new tubes, fitting and welding new sections a nd replacing worn lugs or bolts.
● Assist lead Boilermaker in all work activities including staging of materials and layout/measurement
● Assist in completion of internal and external inspections of boilers and auxiliary equipment
● Assist in repair or replacement of refractory, gaskets or other parts
● Assist in hydrostatic testing of boilers
● Assist in maintaining welding procedure specifications when fabricating or performing work
● Assist in evaluation and troubleshooting of boiler room systems, Learn t o understand all types of hot water and s team boiler support equipment to include deaerators, feed systems, blowdown systems and economizers
● Assist with boiler preventive maintenance and cleaning with tools and equipment
● Experience in stick and Mig / Tig welding and Oxy cutting a plus
● Experience in b oiler industry is preferred but not required. Will train right candidate

REQUIREMENTS
● Write clear and concise service report noting work performed
● Consistent ability to lift and carry heavy items up t o 50 lbs, roll out tubing, push/pull heavy materials w/ mobile equipment consistently required
● With a large service territory, a company service van will be provided. Overnight travel may be required.
● Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights without fear
● Valid driver's license with clear record
● Applicants must p ass a pre-employment background check as w ell as initial and subsequent random d rug screening tests.
