Welder And Fitter

Title: Welder and Fitter 

Pay: $24-$26/hr 

Location: Central PHX

Shift: 1st Shift (5am – 3:30pm) M-Th Overtime on F-Sat 

Duration: 6-month contract to hire 

Description:

Welders will be fabricating and pipe fitting. The fabrication part will involve creating large frames using angle iron and 2" square tubing. The pipe fitting will be welding pipe anywhere from 3" in diameter to 24" in diameter. Welders will be responsible for cutting steel, washing steel, grinding, using oxy acetylene torch and more shop tools. They will need to weld with confidence and consistency for their level of experience. Welders will NOT only be welding. The projects are done in phases and when the welding phase is complete they will be expected to help out in other departments; Electrical, plumbing, testing etc. A majority of the time will be spent welding though. Flux core dual shield wire. 035 and 045 

Requirements:

• MIG - Will be welding with Flux core using the MIG Process 
• Pipe Fitting - Will be fitting pipe from 3" up to 24" 
• Flux Core - Welders will be using flux core dual shield wire that is 045 and 035 
• Previous 3G and 4G welding certs 
• Blueprint reading 
• Pipefitting experience 
• Schematics
