Job Summary
- Set up events by gathering, moving, and preparing supplies for an event.
- Assist in the implementation of social events.
- Staff events and remain on site for the duration of the event.
- Assist with event take-down and evaluation.
- Assist parents and students by fielding questions in the Information Tent and at events during Welcome Week.
- Assist with educational and informational sessions.
- Provide class schedule tours of campus.
- Greet individuals entering sessions or at check in; mingle with students and families in between and at events.
- Assist with other duties as assigned throughout Welcome Week.
- Participate in training the weekend before Welcome Week starts.

Pay Rate
$14.50/hr
Required Qualifications
All student employees in the Dean of Students Office must maintain good academic (min. 2.0 cumulative GPA) and disciplinary standing from the point of application through term of employment. The employer will check status at the beginning and the end of each semester of employment.
Must be in good standing with the Student Conduct and Community Responsibilities office.
Must be a student during the Fall 2024 semester.

Work Hours
Various – morning, afternoon, and evening
5-7 hours TOTAL (not per week) in April 2024.
An additional 30-35 hours during Welcome Week: August 11-18, 2024, plus 5-10 hours of training August 11, 2024.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
