About i9Sports:
i9Sports is a premier community-based sports organization focused on fostering a love for sports among youth. Our mission is to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where kids can learn the fundamentals of various sports while developing essential life skills.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team as a Volleyball Coordinator/Ref. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing Game days, including maintaining the organizing of games, and officiating matches, and may be required to step in and coach teams as needed, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for young athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the volleyball program on game days
- Maintain and educate our rules as needed.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaches, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Ensure that all league activities adhere to i9Sports' standards of sportsmanship, fair play, and inclusivity.
- Act as a mentor and coach, guiding players in their skill development and fostering a love for the sport.
- Collaborate with other program coordinators and staff to ensure the smooth operation of all i9Sports programs within the community.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in organizing or coordinating sports programs, preferably with a focus on volleyball.
- Strong understanding of volleyball rules and regulations, along with a passion for the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children and their families.
- Ability to multitask and manage various administrative and coaching responsibilities efficiently.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring young athletes, fostering their personal and athletic growth.
