As an Electronic Technician is primarily responsible for testing medical device products in accordance with detailed procedures and as necessary, perform troubleshooting on product that does not pass test. In this role the Electronic Technician will be expected to perform Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) component level trouble shooting utilizing state of the art test and measurement equipment, operate functional test equipment, assist in the manufacturing of the product and help provide guidance in the manufacturing processes. The Electronic Technician will be expected to work within the guidelines of the ISO 13485 QMS requirements to fully comply with documentation requirements and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Reads and understands detailed/complex electronic drawings/schematics, BOMs, identification of mechanical/electronic components.
- Work with all types of test and measurement instrumentation in a highly regulated environment required by the medical device industry. This includes detailed work instructions, routers, IPC workmanship criteria, etc.
- Work with advanced computers/software as tools to help program, set-up functions, enter data and process information required in the manufacturing/testing/calibration of in-process and finished medical devices.
- Work closely with all levels of personnel to clearly communicate any issues, concerns, product improvements concepts, cost reductions, etc. that happen during the manufacturing process.
- Assist with the resolution of any technical issue that may arise during the test/calibration process which includes the ability to troubleshoot PCBA component level issues, provide expertise advice in the resolution of manufacturing concerns/problems to help with the quick resolution of these issues.
- Use the knowledge/experience gained in the test/calibration of product to recommend opportunities for improvement in procedures, tools/equipment, processes etc., for continual improvement of our manufacturing techniques.
- Take measurements and record data associated with functional test equipment, and/or other electronic measuring and test instrumentation as procedures may require.
- Assists in the examination/testing of product and/or work to verify/validate conformance to documentation, specifications and customer requirements prior to shipment.

QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:

- Maintain compliance to our established ESD program which includes testing of wrist straps and/or heel straps on a daily documented basis.
- Have the ability to work well with others in a Team environment to contribute your skills to the manufacture of our customer products.
- Have the ability to read/write English since our work instruction, training materials and customer requirements are all in English.
- Learn sufficient computer skills to navigate to our print control log to review electronic documentation files which aid in the manufacture of the PCBA.
- Use a variety of hand tools (ie: soldering irons, screw drivers, wrenches, etc.) to perform your job function.
- Perform work to meet customer quality requirements, IPC-610 workmanship criteria and comply with QMS on a daily basis.
- Minimum of an Associates degree in a technical field of study and/or 4 years experience in trouble shooting electronic assemblies.
- Familiar with the use and operation of measuring and test equipment to assure the PCBA going into the final medical device will perform as required.
- IPC-610, J-STD-001 certifications desired along with experience in working within the confines of the ISO 13485 QMS requirements, 21 CFR Part 820 cGMP practices.
- Previous experience working in an electronic manufacturing environment is highly desired
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
