Essential Responsibilities
- Demonstrates leadership and has the ability to organize, plan and supervise the Nursing Department in coordination with other resident services.
- Demonstrates the ability to adhere to departmental budget.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relationships.
- Implement changes as determined by the Nursing of Director.
- Must demonstrate ability to follow policies, procedures, practices, and direction without the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing.
- Must demonstrate ability to evaluate the geriatric resident's needs and implement systems.
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Current/active CPR certification preferred.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
- Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
