Form of workThe Augusta Health Inpatient Surgical/Orthopedics Unit is a medical-surgical floor with 24 private rooms that specializes in surgical cases. Patients may have a variety of operations ranging from orthopedics, general surgery, thoracic, urology, gynecology, and vascular cases. The Surgical Unit will offer you a chance to utilize your excellent assessment skills and broaden your knowledge of both surgical and medical patients.
We currently have a Weekend Only Nightshift Registered Nurse (RN) position open on our Inpatient Surgical/Orthopedics Unit. (We do have Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions available too.) The Registered Nurse is accountable for the coordination of direct patient care, education, and serves as a leader of the patient care team. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high quality patient care. A sign on bonus of $7,500 is available for qualified candidates! Compensation: Experience-based RN rate + $8.00/hour.

Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse licensed to practice as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Must have a strong desire to work with a high-risk and complex patient population.
- Must have solid critical thinking skills and a strong application of the nursing process.
- Must have effective adherence to infection control practices.
- Positive attitude, with enthusiasm for caring for our community
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
