The Interventional Radiology RN works directly with radiologists, nurses, and radiology technologists during vascular/interventional and neuroradiology procedures. You will join a busy IR department in our Level I trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, with a supportive team, and complex and interesting work. You will be expected to make quick decisions and work independently, and carry out the physician’s medical orders, assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures, provide a safe and therapeutic environment, and coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals, and important others. This position includes patient care and monitoring for all IR procedures including procedural sedation.
The work schedule is 10-hour shifts Saturday and Sundays only. Orientation for this position would be during weekday day shift hours (7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.).
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing or completion of an accredited AD nursing program and a bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Business, or Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry).
- Six months of ICU/ER experience.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
- ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year (2080 hours) of ICU/ER experience.
- One year of Interventional Radiology experience.
