Position Summary:
The Website Content Manager is responsible for maintaining and updating the company's website. They will work closely with the marketing team to ensure that the website is up-to-date and reflects the company's brand and messaging. The Website Content Manager will also be responsible for troubleshooting any technical issues that arise with the website.
Essential Functions and responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the company's website
- Ensure that the website reflects the company's brand and messaging
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise with the website
- Aggregate news stories or “brights” daily; basic journalism
- Write stories as needed to support newsroom demands
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop new website features and functionality
- Monitor website traffic and analytics to identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web design and development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in web design and development, digital news and sound news judgment
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development languages
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal at a level to increase readership
- Command of AP Style and editing functions; ability to write accurate and eye-catching headlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Optimize and size digital images with Photoshop
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Primarily in office but as needed in the field.
