Job Title: Webmaster/Software Systems Engineer
Project: DLA DEDSO Support Services
Job Location: Springfield, VA / Remote
Job Summary: LSI requires the service of a Webmaster/Software Systems Engineer to maintain a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Internet presence and post to public websites. This position will publish, document, and maintain changes to a series of manuals, data element dictionary, transaction standards, and other DLA activities. The internet presence oversees 150 web pages where there are approximately 9,000 total documents on the website that continues to grow. Daily, there may be up to 10 changes to the website and/or SharePoint Online sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Routinely conduct design and content maintenance of all web pages and applications
- Build and update DLA webpages, as needed.
- Publish changes to DLMS manuals, data elements, transactions, and related Process Review Committee (PRC) activities.
- Publish content changes to DLA webpages.
- Update eWorkplace/SharePoint sites, as needed.
- Perform yearly Website Review as required by Web Governance Board.
- Attend monthly Web Governance Board meetings held by the Public Affairs Office (PAO).
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on uploading and publishing files to the web pages (public and restricted).
- Maintain currency, debugs, and configures related software and web products. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolves problems.
- Design, code, test and submit input to the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. Prepare product documentation to support.
- Interface with external shareholders to gather information on system requirements or problems.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Possess experience with the following systems and software:
- Service Now (internal processes)
- DocuSign and processes (internal and external/customer facing)
- Strategy tracker (such as Clarity)
- SharePoint
- O365 (Outlook, TEAMS administrative experience
- Exceptional communication skills and professional judgement
- Significant experience explaining technical subjects to non-technical users in a friendly, nonthreatening way.
- High attention to detail and follow through. Ability to work well with clients and coworkers. Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to take direction and perform to exacting standards.
- Preferred experience: OPSEC 1301, 1500 or 3500 Certificates; Specbuilder experience; AI/analytics experience (i.e. Liger)
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline
- Ability to receive DOD clearance.
