The Opportunity
Are you passionate about the web and web technologies? Are you motivated by solving problems with real-world impact? Do you want to help improve the lives of farmers and help protect the world's food supply? We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Web team.
Climate seeks a dedicated front-end Engineering Manager to guide the delivery of our next generation of products and services. You will have the opportunity to work with large, "big data" sets such as scientific data, machine generated data from our farmer's equipment to geospatial data, precision agriculture, remote sensing, weather and or soil data. We are revolutionizing the agriculture industry by helping the world's farmers sustainably increase their productivity with digital tools. What You'll Do

• Build, mentor, and inspire a group of high-performing web engineers with a strong team-oriented culture.
• Guide the professional development of each direct report through performance management and coaching.
• Identify impediments and operations improvements.
• Be a technical leader who will drive best practices across the team in the Web development domain
• Be an agent of change and a coach in our Agile environment.
• Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of the strategic priorities.
• Partner across Engineering teams to foster collaboration to deliver end to end value.
• Learn more about the agriculture industry and the unique challenges that need to be solved to grow food sustainably

About You
What You'll Need

• 5+ years building, managing, and growing diverse groups of engineers.
• 8+ years of professional software development of Web applications.
• Strong understanding of good practices.
• Experience managing teams in an agile development (e.g., scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Experience managing distributed teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with git, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern CSS and GraphQL
• Experience with continuous deployment
• Experience with internationalization and localization
• Passionate about building scalable architectures using clean, robust, and testable code

• Base salary estimated range between 176,230 - 265,000 annually, depending on the hiring You may also be offered bonuses, RSUs cash equivalent, or commission.
