Grays Harbor College is now accepting applications for a part-time Web Editor Assistant (Communications Consultant 1) in our IT department. This position supports the Webmaster in communicating vital information to students, staff, and the public digitally via website.
This is a part-time position and is not eligible for benefits. Hours are approximately 15 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Employees will receive vacation leave, sick leave, and 4 personal leave days a year. The amount of leave accrued is based on hours worked. Washington state also observes 11 paid holidays per year.
Classified positions at Grays Harbor College have been designated as bargaining unit positions represented by the Washington Public Employees Association, Local 365. The union and the college have a collective bargaining agreement (referred to as the contract) that is posted on the GHC website.

Digital formatting
- Applies technical knowledge of computer software and hardware to prepare draft material for publication by importing, formatting, merging and manipulating text and graphic images
- Performs electronic publishing by preparing publications for electronic distribution via website, calendar, other online pages, sites, formats.
- Reviews and assists in editing copy by checking grammar, clarity and form of presentation; reviews and corrects proofs provided by printer during each production phase
- Maintains content on organization's web site, maintains posting requests, reviews and posts content.
- Assists in designing and developing organization website enhancements; follows accessibility and other standards and business customer requirements to develop and prepare web graphics, logos, photos and other digital images;

- AA in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations or related field or equivalent work and education experience.
