The Web Developer Intern for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for playing a crucial role in driving the success of this program.
This position is part of the IT Digital Technologies team located in Brea, CA and will be remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the IT team and report to the Senior Manager, Business Application responsible for developing innovative software solutions that improve customer engagement and streamline processes. The salary OR the hourly rate for this role is $25/hr. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

- Collaborating with the development team to design, develop, and enhance software applications that align with the objectives of the Digital Customer Experience program.
- Assisting in the implementation and integration of new software solutions, ensuring seamless functionality and user-friendly interfaces.
- Conducting testing and debugging activities to identify and resolve any software bugs or issues.
- Participating in the documentation and maintenance of software development processes, including coding standards and version control.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to propose innovative solutions that maximize customer satisfaction and engagement.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with NodeJS Experience with Source Control Versioning such as Git, Bitbucket Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and experience with database design and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C#, Python), and frameworks (e.g., Spring, .NET).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure and technologies such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience with AI frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts and techniques, such as generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or computer vision.
