Job Description

Qgiv exists to help people fulfill their passion to make a difference. Founded in 2007, Qgiv now provides thoughtfully-designed, user-friendly fundraising software to more than 6,000 nonprofits in the US and Canada. Nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, Humane Society's, and more use Qgiv’s online fundraising tools to delight donors and raise funds for their missions.

We’re guided by our core values: empathy, introspection, honesty + integrity, persistence, openness, respect, and passion. We work hard to meet deadlines and goals, but we also take time to celebrate and have fun! In the office, we enjoy game nights, potlucks, costumes, office decorating competitions, a monthly birthday cake, and more free snacks and beverages than should be allowed. For those remote, we stay connected through video and Slack, weekly coffee talks, and virtual Town Hall meetings.

We strive to create a workplace culture in which individuals can be their authentic selves while working towards our company mission. We don’t search for perfect candidates; we look for candidates that are invested in helping us improve while also improving themselves.

As a Web Analytics Specialist on the Product team, you’ll be our in-house expert on all things analytics. Do you love building systems and problem solving? So do we! With a complex product and client expectations for robust data, your passion for solving problems and working with lots of moving parts will help you be successful in this role.

Do you love a well-organized data layer? Do people come to you with their tag manager questions? We are looking for someone who can organize and implement an enterprise-level analytics infrastructure in the Qgiv platform. When analytics scripts aren’t working properly or clients have a question on a best practice, you’d jump in to share your knowledge.

Do you thrive on data-informed decision making? We’re looking for someone who can help us answer big product questions based on our available data, and if we don’t have it, you know exactly what needs to happen to get it implemented and get the answers we’re looking for. We’re looking for someone who will play a key part in our product-led growth initiative by proactively measuring feature adoption and other usage metrics. Where should we focus our time? That’s the question you’ll seek to answer as you explore our customer’s journey as told through analytics and reporting.

What does success look like?

  1. Be our in-house expert on implementing and reporting on analytics software.
  2. Consult on product feature development that implement analytics - measuring feature adoption, maintaining metrics, etc.
  3. Create standards and infrastructure for how analytics software should be implemented in the Qgiv platform.
  4. Provide troubleshooting and debugging client-implemented analytics scripts, as well as consult on best practices.
  5. Assess product feature adoption and growth opportunities based on internal analytics (Pendo).
  6. Exploring customer journeys and identifying opportunities based on internal analytics (Pendo).

What challenges can you expect?

  1. Product analytics implementation is inconsistent across the platform. Our product uses iframes for embedding in 3rd party sites so there are some limitations to how certain analytics services can be implemented.
  2. We are currently in the middle of a large refactor of our product analytics infrastructure.
  3. There are few people on the team that have extensive experience in analytics software so we would lean on you!

Requirements

What do you need to qualify for this role?

To succeed in this role:

  • Prior experience implementing analytics software like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Meta Pixel end-to-end
  • You know your way around a dataLayer
  • Subject matter expert of best practices, cookie and privacy compliance when implementing analytics tracking
  • Basic front-end development experience and experience with debugging analytics scripts
  • Translating technical concepts to clients and internal support team members

Things that will help you stand out:

  • Intermediate experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with additional analytics services like Segment or Pendo
  • Experience with data governance
  • Experience with using analytics data for storytelling and surfacing insights for data-driven decision making with examples

Benefits

What’s in it for you?
