Summary:
Are you an experienced civil or environmental engineer with a passion for water and wastewater projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to lead a Water/Wastewater Team in either Denver or Colorado Springs. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and managing a wide range of projects, from conceptual planning through construction and operation. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take charge of the design and management of assigned projects, ensuring their successful completion in terms of technical quality, profitability, schedule, and client satisfaction.
- Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, engaging in regular communication and client development efforts to identify and secure new opportunities.
- Project Coordination: Assign and manage tasks, schedules, and budgets for project team members, including subcontractors. Conduct project kickoff and status meetings.
- Technical Excellence: Use your professional judgment to independently complete engineering tasks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Construction Oversight: Monitor construction activities, supervise field personnel, and respond to contractor questions and issues. Prepare change orders and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Marketing and Proposal Development: Contribute to marketing plans, proposal preparation, and client presentations. Cross-market other services as appropriate to clients.
- Professional Development: Provide mentoring to less-experienced staff members and actively contribute to elevating the company's talent pool.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Licensure: Current, valid Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states where the company operates.
- Networking Skills: Demonstrated ability to build professional networks, collaborate effectively, and partner with clients.
- Industry Reputation: Maintain a positive industry reputation and actively participate in professional organizations.
- Project Management: Proven track record of exceeding expectations, meeting KPI targets, and successfully delivering projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and management.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of carrying up to 30 pounds of equipment in various terrain and weather conditions. Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, and operate a motor vehicle for company business.
