SUMMARY
Mountain West Waterworks is a rapidly growing public utility operation and maintenance company that works with public drinking water and wastewater systems across the region. We are looking to add a permanent long-term member to our team to help serve our clients and their needs.
General role
This position will be directed by our Mountain West waterworks regional managers in overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater systems of various clients across east Idaho and Wyoming. Duties will include water and wastewater infrastructure repairs, inspections and reports, sampling, troubleshooting, and general management.
Skills and requirements.
Self-starters, Ability to manage time, and resources effectively.
- Computer skills- Ability towork with phone/ tablet app-based work order systems for tracking time, notes, and documentation of work completed.
- Communication skills- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in written form with other team members and clients.
- Physical ability- The ability to work outside in all weather conditions, stand, climb, walk, stoop, and lift 50 lbs., for prolonged periods if required.
- Availability – the ability to work some nights, weekends, or holidays if placed in the on-call rotation. assists with after-hours emergencies.
- Public drinking water operations experience- Overall experience in operating and maintaining public drinking water systems preferred. Specific experience with water sampling, pumps, VFD controls, SCADA systems, PRV maintenance, and meter readings is a plus but not required.
- Wastewater systems operations experience- General ability to work in and on wastewater collections and treatment systems with no issues.Specific experience with wastewater sampling, pumps VFD controls, SCADA systems, and wastewater treatment processes is a plus but not required.

- State of Idaho level I or higher drinking water treatment or distribution license.
- State of Idaho level I or higher wastewater treatment or collections license Or Land Application.
- State of Idaho cross connections control license
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid Idaho Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Ability and expectation to pass a stringent background check to work at a government facility.
