Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to be based in Murray, Utah. As the Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will have the chance to expand your expertise and take on greater responsibilities within our well-established design and construction team. You will assist with ongoing construction projects in SLC, where you will have the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge within the first 90 days, offering a unique experience beyond the typical responsibilities of a Water/Wastewater Engineer, with the potential for diverse project assignments in the future. This role will give the unique opportunity to be involved in extensive design and construction services. Your enthusiasm and experience will be instrumental in enhancing and growing our team.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Perform engineering work on water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.
- Field data collection and Work on engineering planning and design projects.
- System modeling.
- Data entry and analysis.
- Permitting and alternative analysis.
- Prepare technical memoranda and electronic deliverables.
- Prepare reports with graphics, tables, and appendices.
- Design and Develop plans and specifications.
- Provide engineering services during construction.
- Prepare designs and drafting markups
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS BS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Utah
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
- Academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design.
- Experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, permits, and other detailed engineering deliverables.
- Demonstrated technical skills and experience working on water, wastewater, or resilience projects.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, and scheduling software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player and have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and the project team.
- Experience in field services engineering and quality assurance inspections
