Alliance Water Resources is a growing water and wastewater contract operations company with openings for a Water Treatment Utility Worker in the Cape Girardeau, MO area.
About the Job:
The ideal candidate would be open to covering our wastewater plants as needed and pick up operator shifts at our drinking water plant as needed. Willing to work overtime is a must. Since this is a maintenance position, basic electrical knowledge is necessary as the Utility Worker troubleshoots and works around electrical components regularly. Mechanical knowledge is also a plus. Must have problem solving abilities. Ability to identify issues and take initiative to address them are valuable contributors. As rebuilding pumps and tearing apart valves is a regular occurrence, someone who is comfortable in a shop setting would be beneficial. Due to the smaller crew size of the division, the Utility Worker will at times be working alone. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges. Effective communication is essential for collaboration, problem solving, and client interactions. Having the ability to listen to supervisors is key. The candidate will need to align with the company's values, mission, and culture.
Hours & Pay: Monday – Friday, Starting Pay $17-20 (DOQ)
(May require some weekends and holidays)
Reports To: Local Manager, Superintendent, Supervisor, or their designee
FLSA Status: Full-time non-exempt

Required Qualifications
- A valid motor vehicle driver license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.
