Water Treatment Technician

Summary of Position

Water Treatment Technician – Friedens, PA / Grantsville, MD

Reporting to the Water Treatment Manager, the Water Treatment Technician will have daily responsibilities to check for compliance at NPDES outfalls associated with active mining operations or mining support sites. The position will frequently be outdoors checking and water sampling ponds, streams, springs, and private homeowner wells. The position will infrequently require evening or weekend work to complete all assigned tasks.

• Valid Driver’s License Required
• Personal Vehicle for transportation and use during work hours.

· Be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.

· Knowledge of water sampling procedures to comply with NPDES discharge requirements.

· MSHA surface training is preferred but not required.

· Practical experience or education in a science related field is a plus.

· Non-Exempt position (Pay rate commensurate with experience)
