Water Treatment System Operator And Maintenance Technician

Our environmental consultants help government and commercial clients assess performance, manage risk, implement sustainable remedies, and resolve uncertainty. TLI Solutions, a division of TechLaw Consultants, is seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Treatment Operator to provide support to our government contracts primarily in Pueblo. The position is primarily field-based, requiring strict adherence to standard operating procedures, programmatic planning documents, health and safety policies and practices, and quality control requirements

Responsibilities and Requirements

Must perform remedial groundWater Treatment System Operation & Maintenance, including troubleshooting, optimization, and monitoring/sampling activities including but not limited to:

• Operation and Maintenance of Water Treatment equipment
• Operation and Maintenance of water quality meters
• Operation of GPS and electronic data collection devices
• Construction subcontractor oversight and preparation of daily reports for Treatment System expansion, as well as writing construction, maintenance, and sampling activity reports
• Collection of groundwater samples using bladder pumps, peristaltic pumps, and/or bailers
• Accurate completion of field data sheets
• Ability to follow Sampling and Analysis Plans/ Quality Assurance Project Plans
• Assures integrity, cleanliness, and security of system buildings/enclosure and equipment

Candidate must ensure that Safety and Health is a top priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner and controlled manner.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Mechanically inclined, with experience operating and troubleshooting tools and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to pass a government background check
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
• Possess a valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to drive in a company provided vehicle

Preferred candidates will have 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification, First Aid/CPR Training, experience with environmental sampling, a Colorado Wastewater Treatment Operator License, and construction, plumbing, pipe laying, pipe fitting, or mechanical experience.
