Job Description

Construction and Engineering Services Consultants, Inc. (C&ES). Currently have an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Inspector for a Water Treatment Plant in Groveland, FL.

The Water Treatment Plant InspectorPosition will observe the installation of two vertical turbine well pumps, a 3-million-gallon concrete ground storage tank, a high service pump station, an electrical building, a chemical building for sodium hypochlorite storage and pumping, a genset and a stormwater retention pond. Maintain quality standards by validating incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording quality results for the Inside Water Plant structure.

Responsibilities

· Validates incoming materials by confirming submittal specifications.

· Conducting visual and measurement tests.

· Rejecting unacceptable materials.

· Approves in-process production by confirming specifications.

· Reporting on required adjustments to Project Management.

· Approves finished products by confirming specifications.

· Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and inputting data into project database.

· Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Required Skills/Qualifications

· At least 1 year of experience observing new construction or refurbishment existing of plants.

· Pipe experience is required.

· Experience in City Side distribution of water, sewer, & storm drain systems.

· The ability to understand and read blueprints.

· Familiar with mechanical and electrical plans.

· Must be familiar with FDOT & City Standards.

· Large Diameter Pipe is a plus.

· Must be computer literate for documentation and report submission.

· Valid FL Driver’s License.

Job Type & Schedule

· Full-time

· Monday – Friday (weekends and overtime) may be expected.

· 8-hour shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
