SUMMARY
The Water Resources Staff Engineer will be at the forefront of planning and managing stormWater Resources to support our renewable energy projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing water usage in these projects, reinforcing our dedication to responsible and sustainable energy solutions.
The position is located in Eden Prairie, MN.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
- Conduct floodplain and drainage studies.
- Prepare reports on engineering analyses and model results.
- Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies to determine stormwater requirements.
- Work directly with clients and the design team on stormwater design considerations.
- Collaborate with plan reviewers and agency officials to facilitate permit approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with an emphasis on Water Resources from an ABET accredited program.
- A master’s degree with an emphasis on Water Resources and hydraulic design is preferred.
- Candidates with 0-3 years of experience in hydrology and hydraulics will be considered.
- Experience with engineering software such as HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), FLO-2D, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, ICPR and XP/PC/EPA SWMM is preferred but not required.
- Successfully completed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to cross-train in other services.
