Position Summary: JMT is seeking a mid-level Water Resources engineer to join their Herndon Team. This position will perform aspects of Water Resources engineering under the supervision of a registered professional engineer. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Analyze and design storm drainage systems
- Analyze and design stormwater management practices
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
- Develop erosion and sediment control plans
- Perform inspection and assessment of constructed stormwater management practices
- Complete permit applications for state and local agencies
- Utilize general engineering principles and practices daily
- Develop construction cost estimates
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
- Mentor junior level Water Resources staff
