New 2nd Shift $5.00 preimum
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining Water Jet cutting machines to produce precision cuts on a variety of materials and ensuring quality and efficiency in related cutting processes.
Job Duties:
· Water jet cuts plate to engineering specs, including loading and adjusting cutting parameters to ensure parts are cut with acceptable quality
· Prepares materials for cutting by setting up and securing them on the cutting table
· Loads and executes cutting programs on the machine
· Monitors the cutting process
· Performs routine maintenance on Water Jet cutting equipment including cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn parts
· Changes cutting heads and abrasive materials, feeding tubes, etc. as needed
· Identify and troubleshoots issues with the machine, making adjustments or repairs, as needed
· Performs safety check and records results daily/weekly check sheets
· Affixes part number sticker to the appropriate part
· Nest parts to assign cut sheets. Import cut files and set lead ins and save.
· Reports defective tools and equipment
· Demonstrates the Caldwell Company Values in all work activities (and instills the same behaviors in all direct reports)
· Complies with all safety rules and requirements.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two years Water Jet Operator experience (or a similar role)
· One year fork lift experience
· Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints
· Proven ability to read a tape measure
· Proficiency using computerized control systems for Water Jet cutting
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Strong detail orientation
· Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally must twist/turn, bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, push/pull, lift up to 50 pounds, engage in repetitive use of hands, talk and listen.

Pay: $19.11 - $24.25 per hour
