Job Description Summary:
The Water Attraction Attendant is a vital member of the team keeping Boulder’s pools running safely for the whole community. In support of other lifeguard and water safety staff, the attendant pays close attention and communicates with teammates to keep water slides and other recreational features running safely. This is an excellent entry-level role for you to join a high-energy team and create a fantastic summer for your neighbors.
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively manages operations of specific water features ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all participants by ensuring all applicable rules and regulations are followed and notifying qualified staff if medical aid is needed.
  • Manges timing and flow of Water Attraction participation by actively managing and educating the public while in lines for features, such as water slides.
  • Provides customer service to participants to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Supports front desk operations as needed by facilitating membership check-ins and assisting with any program or facility questions that patrons may have.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Eligible to legally work in the state of Colorado and the city of Boulder.
  • Ability to be vigilant for unsafe conditions and congestion when managing customer flow on water slides and other features. Any rescues would be conducted separately by lifeguards.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to coordinate with other staff to keep everyone safe and communicate rules and regulations to visitors. In the event of a rescue or medical emergency, Attendants would notify lifeguards or other qualified staff to render aid.
  • Proven ability to be highly reliable. To keep the pools running safely, the Attendant must show up on-time for shifts as scheduled and communicate with supervisors about any emergencies or changes.
  • Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Eligible to legally work in the state of Colorado and the city of Boulder.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • The Water Attraction Attendant should be prepared to be outdoors for a full shift, including standing for long periods.
