Wash Rack Technician

We are looking to add a Wash Rack Technician to our team inLadson, SCwho cleans all machines before they are brought into the shop area and maintenance begins.

Position Specifics:
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager or Shop Foreman
Supervises: None
Job Status: Non- Exempt

Essential Functions:

• Remove all shields and belly pans to clean the machine
• Pressure wash the area on the machine that is in need of repair; clearing all grease, oil and dirt from the machine
• Wash with a fire hose all crawler undercarriage
• Steam clean engine blocks, transmission cases, fuel and hydraulic tanks
• Maintain a clean wash ramp free of oil and mud
• Order all cleaning soap and supplies
• Maintain the pressure washer and fire hoses to their peak efficiency

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• Must be able to work alone or with others and have strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• Dependable work history, safe work habits and ability to meet work deadlines required
• Ability to operate heavy equipment required
• Must hold a valid driveras license
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• Computer literacy: to be able complete a brief description of the work performed and to clock in and out of work orders
