Warehouse/Driver Helper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Driver to join our team. The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials between our warehouse and various delivery points. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

• Operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure the safety of oneself and others on the road.

Loading and Unloading:

• Assist in loading and unloading goods and materials from the warehouse onto the vehicle and vice versa.
• Ensure that all items are securely and safely strapped down or packaged to prevent damage during transportation.

Route Planning:

• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
• Utilize GPS and other navigation tools to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery confirmation.
• Report any discrepancies or issues with delivered items promptly.

Vehicle Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles to ensure they are in proper working order.
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or special instructions.

Adherence to Policies:

• Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation, safety, and security.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and delivery.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation
• Proven experience as a warehouse driver or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of delivery vehicles.
• Forklift Certification a plus but training will be provided if not.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, storing, and distributing materials

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
