Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the inserting process for our publications is completed on a daily basis.
What you will do:
- Set up machine to start a production cycle (programming, calibration, monitor, maintain, trouble shoot, etc.)
- Control and adjust machine settings
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs
- Properly utilize tools
- Inspect and troubleshoot parts
- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
- Routine use of machinery (inserting machines/stackers/binder)
What you will bring:
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read schematics and manuals
- Ability to work safely around machinery in a warehouse environment with associated noise, forklift operations
- Good communication skills
- Self-motivated team player, with ability to follow supervisor directions
- Physical stamina and strength
- Computer literate
- Analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Time Management, good organization skills
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse, material handling, forklift and/or computer program use preferred, but not necessary
- Ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 50 pounds
The hourly wage is $20.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
