South Coast Stone, Marble and Tile is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Freight Receiver & Solid Surface Fabrication Assistant. In this unique role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and contribute to the creation of beautiful, high-quality countertops.
Your Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Freight Receiving:
- Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
- Verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Safely unload and stage materials in designated areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using our warehouse management system.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Solid Surface Fabrication (during slow periods):
- Assist skilled fabricators with cutting, sanding, and polishing solid surface materials.
- Learn basic fabrication techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Contribute to the production of high-quality countertops.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong attention to detail and is quality-focused.
- Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Has a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks.
- Has a valid driver's license and forklift certification (a plus).
- Experience in warehouse operations or fabrication is preferred.
