Summary
Under supervision of Supervisor, verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment following established procedures. Manages the power files, process of samples, credit card, small pack orders, and literature fulfillment from order through shipments. Assists Sales, Customer Service and Marketing with various duties as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, unloads and verifies production receipts.
- Prepares shipping documentation. Utilizes mail machine, UPS, Fed Ex, weighing systems, and computer workstations as needed.
- Counts, weighs and checks incoming material and supplies. Works with incoming inspection, repackaging, and all functions in the warehouse.
- Organizes and maintains the power files and broken carton inventory to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
- Processes orders for samples, small pack orders, and literature including packaging and shipping them in a timely manner. Provides recommendation on sample stocking levels and methods to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Ensures inventory levels are appropriate and purges obsolete samples as necessary.
- Makes out receiving reports and reports shortages and damaged materials. Logs RGA papers, packing slips, invoices, etc. pertaining to returned goods. Records quantities and outcome of RGA material.
- Distributes received material.
- Repackages material for storage and shipment and places material in storage.
- Assembles orders for shipment. Counts, weighs and checks against shipping order and reports shortages to supervisor.
- Processes outgoing mail and sorts incoming mail, including travel to the post office as needed.
- Labels or stencils shipping containers.
- Operates forklift truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to work or storage area.
- Maintains warehouse and performs housekeeping tasks.
- Performs other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to comprehend and comply with written and verbal procedures, instructions and assignments. Ability to deal with situations involving several variables in standard manufacturing conditions. Ability to actively participate in-group problem solving activities.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to correctly perform calculations using basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to carry detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems normally encountered in the manufacturing environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Regsitrations
Must maintain a valid forklift driver's license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The work area is often dusty and the air temperature may be hot or cold occasionally.
Employee is required to follow all safety rules and procedures including, but not limited to, using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE for this position includes safety glasses, fall protection (safety harness and/or lanyard) and hard toed shoes. PPE also includes gloves (general cloth work gloves or Nitrile chemical resistant gloves) as necessary.
