We are currently looking for a Full-time Warehouse Trailer Cleaner (Return Dock) in our Distribution Warehouse!! The Warehouse Trailer Cleaner (Return Dock) is responsible for cleaning out the returned trailers in a timely manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Must be able to use the tools and equipment generally associated with the job of an Order Selector. This includes but is not limited to scanning device, power jacks (Walkie and riding), small forklift, temperature probes and computer.
Through past training or on-the-job experience, must be able to:
- Accurately document equipment and/or product being taken off trailers
- Practice proper safe lifting techniques in order to mitigate the potential for injury.
- Able to safely operate power pallet jack and/or forklift.
- Practice "Clean as You Go" sanitation.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Work with and around other employees with respect and cooperation.
- High School Diploma
- 1 plus year of experience in the field or in related area referred. Should be familiar with standard warehouse concepts, operations, and processes.
- Able to read English and recognize numbers.
- Familiarity with computers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Standing/Walking - Total time: Generally, 7.5 hours daily, back, and forth. Lifting (in case of returned products you may be required to lift up to 55lbs) Items Lifted: Cases of paper product, cases of liquids, cases of food product. Pushing/Pulling -Activity: Frequency: Most of the day. Height: Various -from ground level to overhead. Carrying - Longest Distance: 2 feet (One stack of trays to another close by). Typical Distance: Within confines of Warehouse return dock area. Doors 1 – 8 Bending/Stooping/Squatting/Kneeling: Employee must be able to adjust their body level and position throughout the workday, to accomplish the work of a TC. Overhead Work: Employee may be required to work with hands and arms extended overhead.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Trailer Cleaner (Return Dock) will work in a Food Distribution Warehouse environment. This includes work in areas that are not air-conditioned, refrigerated areas, cooler areas with temperatures ranging from 28-38 degrees and freezer areas with temperatures ranging from -5 to 0 degrees. The flooring of this environment may become slick with grease, moisture, or frost throughout the workday. The Trailer Cleaner will work with or near mechanical and electrical hazards, forklifts, power jacks, battery chargers, and shrink-wrapping machines.
