The Warehouse Technician should have warehouse, inventory and yard experience related to telecommunications, but we are willing to train the right applicant. The Warehouse/Yardperson must be able to work in a team environment, assist with all deliveries, process paperwork and perform inventory counts and controls. The Warehouse Technician should possess a valid driver’s license and clean background history.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, store and secure all supplies and materials when delivered
- Maintain all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner.
- Assign and account for all materials issued to work crews on a daily basis.
- Maintain a “shelf stock” of parts, tools and any other job required supplies.
- Conduct a complete physical inventory each month that will account for all materials stored, received and issued from the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain material usage logs/spreadsheets to comply with our customer’s usage and tracking systems.
- Assist in the management, maintenance and upkeep of fleet tools and equipment assigned to the project.
- Able to use a variety of tools and small equipment (including but not limited to forklift, drill press, band saw, crane)
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
- Pick up or deliver material using a company vehicle
Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience in warehousing and or yard work
- Operate a forklift and a variety of tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies
- Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift
- Possess basic computer skills
- Must be organized and detail oriented
