Overview
CableCom is seeking a Material Warehouse Technician for our Medford, Oregon location to assist with Fleet duties, supervise and control incoming and outgoing inventory, as well as perform administrative duties. Successful candidates will be proficient with various inventory management systems. Forklift certification a plus! Candidate must be capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
What you'll do...

  • You will receive, inspect, store and secure all supplies and materials when delivered.
  • You will maintain all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner.
  • You will assign and account for all materials issued to work crews on a daily basis.
  • You will maintain a "shelf stock" of parts, tools, and any other job required supplies.
  • You will conduct a complete physical inventory each month that will account for all materials stored, received, and issued from the warehouse and yard.
  • You will maintain material usage logs/spreadsheets to comply with our customer's usage and tracking systems.
  • You will assist in the management, maintenance, and upkeep of fleet tools and equipment assigned to the project.
  • You will perform assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of general clerical duties, tasks, or special projects as required or assigned.
  • You will drive a company truck in a proper manner to transport and deliver a variety of supplies and materials.
  • You will load and unload trucks using a forklift and properly secure load for travel.
  • You will ensure that all warehouse vehicle and equipment are maintained daily.
  • You will assist with Fleet duties.

Qualifications
Who we are looking for...
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Business Applications (Excel, Word).
  • You are at least 18 years old • You are authorized to work in the United States for this company • You are able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card • You have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License • You have previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry • You have knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques • You are able to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet • You are able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction) • You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance • You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call • You are able to maintain a safe work environment • You are able to work in all weather conditions • You are able to travel when travel is required • You may have experience splicing of active & passive equipment

  • You have experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.
  • You are detail oriented with focus on accuracy.
  • You are capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
  • You are willing to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
  • You are able to perform the essential functions required in this position for the entire assigned shift.
    • Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily.
    • Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily.
    • Climbing - 1 to 2 hours daily.
    • Driving - 1 to 4 hours daily.
    • Bending/Twisting - 3 to 4 hours daily.
    • Pushing/Pulling - 1 to 2 hours daily.
    • Repetitive Motion (grasping, manipulation) - 1 to 2 hours daily.
    • Lifting (weights up to 100lbs.) - rarely.
    • Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.) - regularly / daily.
