Netceed is a Business-to-Business materials distributor and value-added service provider for cable operators (like Altice, formerly Cablevision/Optimum), telecommunications service providers, and contractors in the fiber and telco industry. A member of our leadership team broke it down for us in simple terms: “We supply cable operators and telecommunication service providers with everything they need to build, maintain, and grow the network. If you look at a telephone pole or the cables that connect to your house, every single piece of equipment - the taps, couplers, clamps, fiber, and cable itself, and the tools and test equipment needed by the technicians to build and fix the network - that is all provided by us. That is one side of our business - the materials side.
On the other side, we provide value-added services like warehouse & supply chain management, quality control, inventory management, technical and logistics expertise, etc. We are essentially the behind-the-scenes team helping the cable operators and telecommunication service providers on the network infrastructure side. All of this enables virtual learning for your kids, binge-watching your favorite TV shows, servicing enterprises, facilitating datacenters, supporting small businesses, and powering all of your favorite internet-connected devices.”
We're currently expanding our Home Delivery department here in our Edison, NJ Distribution Center with a great 3rd shift opportunity for a Team Leader to support Monday-Friday operational goals! The shift schedule is ultimately 10:30pm-6:00am with initial training happening on 2nd shift for the first few weeks on 2:00pm-10:30pm
This Team Leader will support the day-to-day Outbound operation involving our 3PL trucking relationships, providing key administrative support while directing the picking activities of our team to ensure efficient operations and attainable business targets.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with schedules
- Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate
- Ensure stock movements are recorded correctly
- Support organizing and participate in stock takes at regular intervals
- Ensure that any computerized or automated systems are up to date
- Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse.
- Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required
- Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
- Other duties as outlined by leadership.
Requirements
Requirements/Key Experiences
- A good working knowledge of health and safety and security requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
- Forklift Certification
- Strong Project Management skills
- Experience in a Warehouse/Distribution setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Team Lead experience in a Distribution setting
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
