Hamilton Medical is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of precision medical devices and consumables. This role is a combination of direct contribution (processing customer shipments) and indirect contribution (leadership of the crew to attain daily operational targets). This role ensures the key tasks, duties, and procedures are carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The Team Lead also evaluates their team members’ skill and growth opportunities and facilitates training of staff to ensure that an adequate knowledge and skill base is maintained. This role has other support responsibilities, including: review and disposition of non-conforming product, improving inventory accuracy, creation of standard work documentation and procedures, daily reporting of work output, and strategizing resource allocation and workflow to ensure daily and weekly plans are met. To be successful in this role, the Team Lead is expected to have strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills. They do well at directing, coaching, and motivating members of the team to be their best and achieve success. They also support and drive a culture of positivity, respect, and transparency.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Serve as a role model for adherence to site Safety standards and product Quality standards. Drive adherence with staff and communicate with warehouse supervisor as needed to resolve conflicts.
  • Key user of ERP system to process shipments, troubleshoot issues, and perform basic inventory transactions.
  • Open/close the warehouse area, daily end-of-shift reporting, handling of emergency responses, etc.
  • Assist with transporting equipment or materials to their appropriate destination.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Generate receipt travelers, verify parts received with vendor packing list, report any receipt discrepancies to Purchasing and/ or Logistics.
  • Use loading dock, pallet jack, pallet rider, reach truck forklift, turret truck, and other material handling devices/vehicles.
  • Support and lead inventory investigations; present results for approval and adjustment.
  • Regularly lead start-of-shift team huddles, communicate goals and expectations for the day, and serve as liaison between departments.
  • Support cycle count inventory as required in order to maintain on hand integrity in a warehouse location.
  • Coordinate activity of Material Handlers to insure timely delivery of parts from the warehouse to the production facility.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
  • Proven experience with safe production practices
  • Familiarity with shipping and packaging equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stable work history
  • Basic math required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work with small components and hand tools.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Ability to follow process and detailed manufacturing instructions.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in warehousing environment preferred.
  • Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion preferred.
