The Team Lead will be responsible for the direction and coordination of all warehousing activities in the organization. These activities may include the receiving, unpacking and checking, storage, packing and shipping of materials and the maintenance of inventory control records. May also be responsible for weighing and addressing outgoing goods and completing or checking bills of lading.

- Direct and coordinate production, processing and distribution within the warehouse.
- Coordinates with production in the requisitioning and following up of materials needed for production.
- Coordinates activities within the warehouse to ensure objectives are accomplished.
- Checks for material shortages.
- Checks and orders original bills of materials on new and special items.
- Review production or processing issues with the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
- Works with Warehouse Manager to train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve warehouse personnel grievances.
- Determine personnel needs based on production schedules and with the assistance of the Warehouse Manager.
- Control and minimize labor overtime costs within departments.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse reports for proper action and recording.
- In charge of measuring daily goals met and not met for reporting to the Warehouse Manager.
- Recommend procedures for warehouse and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain preventative maintenance, environmental, health and safety programs.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees.
- Provides direction, development and leadership to floor associates.
- Provide Training according to Work Instructions to Employees. Measure and Monitor that all procedures are being followed.

- Material Handling, inventory and logistics.
- Leadership skills and experience
- Capable of operating multiple styles/types of forklifts
- Able to track inventory, finished goods.
- Broad knowledge of OSHA and workplace health and safety programs.
- Knowledge of SAP, ASN, EDI, Material Handling, inventory and logistics.
- Complete understanding of the MS Office Suite. Broad knowledge of quality systems including TS-16949, ISO and QS; continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, lean manufacturing, KANBAN, TPS
Work Experience:
- Must have at least 3 years' experience working in an automotive warehouse environment as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader
- Shipping and Receiving experience.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- Must have at least 1 year working in a metals environment.
