Purpose:
Reporting to the Customer Care Warehouse Manager, this position supervises a multi-product line distribution center for JBT Corporation in Alpharetta, GA, which on average processes $10M order shipments to customer destinations monthly. This person is the gatekeeper of JBT policies, ensuring our daily standard work is in alignment with JBT’s core values, and adhered to by the team.
Responsible over the performance of one or more key warehouse paths, including receiving, inventory count, picking, packing, and shipping.
Approximately 3 to 6 warehouse associates will report to this position.
Responsibilities
- Executes safe work practices and provides leadership in achieving safety goals.
- Establishes, documents, and maintains daily standard work of each work process.
- Reviews daily warehouse team’s output requirements and direct work across the team, ensuring staffing is sufficient to execute daily work.
- Keeps track of path’s performance through JBT’s daily SQDC (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) cadence, and take mitigative action on lagging areas.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives and empowering team members in root cause finding and problem solving.
- Provides leadership and engagement to warehouse associates. Provides feedback related to productivity and quality to elevate associates’ performances.
- Collaborates with other departments such as customer service and purchasing with problem resolution.
- Coordinates preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing material, parts and/or finished goods.
- Ensures area is sufficiently equipped with supplies and 6S compliant.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment required.
- Minimum of 3 years managing people and processes related to warehouse operations required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with ERP systems spreadsheet software and shipping (UPS/FEDEX) software required.
- Must be proficient in working with MS Word and Excel.
- Must be able to prioritize and meet goals within a high-volume environment.
- Flexibility to work some overtime during weekdays, and to a lesser degree, mandatory weekend work few times per year.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Approximately 3-6 warehouse associates report directly to this position.
Financial Responsibility: Responsible for supporting a $120 million business segment in annual shipment revenue. This translates to daily warehouse path goals, improvements, and cost reductions.

Work Environment:
Spends approximately 60% of time in a warehouse environment including an inbound, pick, inventory count, and outbound environment. Remaining 40% of time in an office or meeting environment. Exposed to possible shop or site installation hazards including heavy equipment, shop traffic, uneven/slippery footing, inclement weather, etc. Installation sites require appropriate safety measures such as hard hat, safety shoes and safety glasses.
Physical Demands:
Frequent sitting and operating computer. Frequent walking and standing in a warehouse environment. Manual lifting up to 50lbs. Fast paced environment with multiple priorities, constant change and a variety of problems and people involved.
