Mission: Supervise employees in receipt and shipment of orders while managing the material flows to and from production. Support optimal inventory utilization by adhering to FIFO requirements and contribute to warehouse organization. Optimize workforce deployment between the two groups to ensure production is being support and shipping are meeting customers due dates. Ensure company standards and guidelines for quality products and service are maintained in a manner consistent with the Mission Principles, and Values of Techmer PM.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience: BS degree in business with 2-3 years in related field preferred or 5 years' experience in Shipping and Receiving.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability: Familiar with all shipping and receiving requirements and documentation (Delivery Receipts, Bills-of-Lading, Export Paperwork, etc.). Strong communication & teamwork skills required. Ability to prioritize and escalate as needed.
Authority: Position reports to Supply Chain Manager. Supervises Shipping and Receiving employees. Supervises Material Handlers in Allocations.
KEY RESULT AREA OBJECTIVES/ACTIVITIES
1.Shipment Coordination
a. Supervises the staging and shipping of materials.
b. Coordinate the scheduling of all outbound carries using Freightview
c. Supports preparation of shipping documentation (bills-of-lading, packing lists, export documentation, etc.) daily.
d. Performs annual carrier evaluations.
e. Upload freight charges daily.
f. Maintains Freight Log in Batch Master.
g. Coordinates any changes to the daily shipping schedule with the customer service department so our customers will be updated of any changes.
h. Verifies that all customer packaging and labeling requirements are met.
i. File freight damage claims with carriers
2.Inventory Coordination
a. Establish strong processes to ensure inventory accuracy discipline for both volume and location.
b. Conduct inventory of warehouse twice a year/cycle count when new process is introduced.
c. Conduct ABC Inventory Management through D365 weekly.
d. Review spot inventory issues on material that can't be located.
3.Non-Inventory Purchasing
a. Purchasing packaging material.
b. Maintain and update packaging Kanban.
4.Staff Coordination/Development
a. Plans daily schedule by reviewing shipping needs and balancing production needs.
b. Cross train all employees so both groups can work in either department. This will allow supervisor to move material handlers to each group depending on where help is needed most.
c. Completes annual salary reviews for all direct reports.
d. Approves overtime within the department as needed.
5.Handling Outbound Transfers
a. Handle transfer request from other Techmer sites.
b. Review inventory and production needs with scheduler before confirming transfer.
c. Distribute transfer orders to material handlers.
6.Receiving Coordination
a. Maintains contact with receiving personnel to see that materials are received correctly (i.e., weights, part numbers).
b. Ensures that COAs are given to Quality Control.
c. Ensures that materials are properly labeled and scanned into inventory.
7.Ensure Production Needs Are Met
a. Oversee allocation group to ensure orders are picked in a timely manner.
b. Work with allocations group to work online priority.
8.Equipment Training & Certification
a. Become a certified trainer on the forklift.
b. Track certification of employees
9.Safety & 6S
a. Oversees employee safety including, but not limited to, proper tools and PPE.
b. Ensures carriers follow safety requirements including, but not limited to, chock wheels, lock brakes, etc.
c. Conduct 10 PPE vitals a month
d. Start auditing containers. Create log.
