Responsible for assuring that techniques and activities are performed for maintaining necessary parts and quantity levels in inventory, and will assure that the USS, USO & USL inventory remaining onsite is properly managed, is stored efficiently & safely. Provide supervision and direction to staff and contract labor in shipping/receiving/warehousing activities. Resolve shipping errors to the customer or to our external vendors. Maintain updated work instructions. Participate in the 5S audits in their assigned. Participating in continuous improvement projects to improve processes and procedures within the area. Monitor progress toward the overall shipping goal. Manage the teams cycle counting efforts ensuring an accurate and timely completion. Investigate any parts that are unable to be located before reporting them as a loss. Monitor the picking lists and making sure they are being completed in a timely fashion
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Manage pick ticket system ensuring accurate shipping of items to the satisfaction of the customer.
● Monitor employees putting up stock purchased items, verifying count and basic inspection.
● Moves material, supplies or equipment to appropriate product area or storage. Uses such equipment as forklift (stand-up and sit-down), hand trucks or pallet jacks to move parts and equipment safely.
● Required to rotate, organize, mark all inventory on racks.
● Responsible for keeping the work area clean by sweeping floors, removing trash and properly storing materials.
● As required, coordinates activities with shipping coordinator, loading/unloading personnel, inventory and other personnel to resolve discrepancies, properly execute responsibilities and accurately prepare paperwork.
● Is required to maintain good relations with customers, vendors and plant personnel.
● Informs management of more efficient and practical ways to perform tasks or duties to help improve the overall efficiency of the operation.
● Required to prioritize duties for urgent response in customer related shipping matters.
● Produce reports, charts & graphs.
● Required to accurately review shipping/receiving documents, including international shipments with appropriate Customs Documentation.
● Ability to supervise and manage the required work of others.
● Special projects in Warehouse Dept. as required.
● Manage Cycle Counts Teams
● Exercise independent judgment and discretion over matters of importance.
● Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education : High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience : Experience in a Warehouse/Inventory Environment (3-5 years) with proven experience in leading others and directing work.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, etc. and experience with AS400
Other Requirements
Must be an experienced forklift driver-prefer 2-3 years prior experience, but minimum 1 year with ability to put up/remove heavy items safely in tight spaces to include sit-down and stand-up type lifts.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call on nights and weekends (especially in the beginning of the project).
Willingness to train and learn in the AX ERP system
