Warehouse Supervisor

Tucker Door & Trim is a well-respected wholesale distributor and manufacturer of doors, windows, and specialty millwork for the construction industry. We are growing and want you to be part of our team.
This position will play a critical role in the logistical initiative of our Albany location, while ensuring that the team is in line with the overall strategic direction of the company. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse and delivery activities at the Albany facility. This includes coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of doors, ensuring accurate inventory management, dispatching, loading and routing of trucks, supervising a team of warehouse and delivery staff, plus ensuring all warehouse and delivery equipment is well maintained. The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations to meet production goals, enacting the company’s vision and mission and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Warehouse Supervisor role will report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Warehouse Operations:

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and loading.
• Plan transportation routes, staff drivers, communicate deviations to the route.
• Ensue quality of doors adheres to the company standard

2. Supervise Delivery Operations

• Oversee day-to-day delivery activities including driver safety.
• Monitor drivers' activities through Geotab and Lytx to ensure drivers are following D.O.T. rules and regulations and running their routes efficiently.

2. Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse and delivery personnel.
• Provide training and guidance to ensure staff understand and follow standard operating procedures.

3. Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate inventory records using Syteline.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies.

4. Quality Control:

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the loaded doors are in perfect condition and match

the orders.

• Inform the correct departments if there are quality issues with the doors or delays to distribution centers.

5. Safety Compliance:

• Promote and enforce safety regulations within the warehouse and with the delivery team. Monitoring forklift checklist, keeping up with

employee monthly training, recertification of forklift drivers, daily safety walk throughs.

• Conduct daily safety meetings and training sessions
• Ensure all OSHA Rules and Regulations and D.O.T. Rules and Regulations are being followed.

6. Efficiency Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement best practices to streamline warehouse operations.

7. Communication:

• Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth workflow and

timely order fulfillment.

• Communicate effectively with team members and management.

8. Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensure that all forklift and delivery equipment is properly maintained and is in good working condition.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance, for any equipment in your

department.

9. Reporting:

• Generate and analyze reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, productivity, and any issues

affecting operations.

• Provide regular updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in production supervision within the door manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of door manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
