JOB TITLE: Warehouse Specialist ***|MUST HAVE TOP-SECRET CLEARANCE****


SUMMARY: DAWSON is looking for the next Warehouse Specialist to support our federal customers. This position isin the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to verifying and processing shipments into the warehouse as well as routing materials to prescribed storage locations for the Federal Bureau of Investigations Logistics Units.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately maintain real-time inventory log
  • Verify shipments upon receipt, including inspection of bills of lading, invoices, manifests, or receipts for correct amounts and damages to shipments
  • Working area must be free of debris accumulated from loading / unloading / shipping / moving / storing goods / materials
  • Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages
  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations
  • Storing, stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods
  • Rearranging and taking inventory or stored materials
  • Examining stored materials and reporting deteriorations and damage
  • Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment
  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties
  • Prepare and/or files forms associated with receipt and delivery of goods

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years related warehouse experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Forklift Certification
  • Top Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Experience working with established processes and procedures.
